This page contains/will contain Frequently(or not so frequently) Asked Questions. You’re welcome to ask something in the comments section at the bottom of the page, if you like and I’ll get back to you ASAP. I realize that some of these things will not be an issue for some time most likely, but prefer to be up front.
Fanworks:
» What about Fanworks, as in fan art, fiction etc? Do you allow it?
—» First off, I would like to say that I’m allowing fanworks, if only for the fact that I happen to be a member of various fandoms and understand the urge to write/draw/etc about other peoples works. However, for the integrity of the story and sanity, we must ask of you the following:
—» You must put a disclaimer in the header/somewhere clearly visible near your work stating that it is a fanwork of Moondust and is not necessarily canon nor supported by the author of Moondust.
—» While I appreciate that many fan artists sell work/take commissions, we would prefer that no profit was made by people other than the author of Moondust.
—» A link back to Moondust would be fabulous, and we would like to see whatever you come up with, we may even make a section for it if we get enough.
» Why can’t we make profit off of it?
—» You can’t, simply for the fact that it is my intellectual property, and it’s in bad taste to steal, as well as it being not legal and all. I allow fanworks as long as everyone plays nice - it’s my work and I reserve the right to say no.
Site Information:
» What software runs this site?
—» I use Wordpress with an assortment of plugins.
» What are the plugins for, exactly?
—» The plugins add a number of functions to the site such as extra posting features, spam protection, widgets for the sidebar and other neat things that make Moondust just a little bit easier/prettier to look after.
» Wheres the site hosted?
—» It’s hosted by the author on her domain the Crowned Meadow Network : D
» Is there a smaller URL for the site?
—» Yup! Check it out: http://tinyurl.com/moondustws
Comments Policy:
» What is the basic outline of the comments policy on Moondust?
—» The comments policy is always stated by the comments form, but for reference, here you go:
Here at Moondust I have a rather open comment policy, everyone is welcome to comment, you may give constructive criticism, point out errors even debate and disagree, but I will say this: There shall be no flame wars, spamming or insulting. If you want to do that, take it somewhere else. Otherwise, have a ball. I reserve the right to edit/delete comments at will (edited comments will be marked).
If you offer up ideas for the story, you do this at your own risk and cannot ask for compensation later if they do appear in the story. I am not taking ideas from readers but there is a chance readers will have an idea that I had also. This part also goes for fanworks on the off chance I read any fan fiction based on my work (should any ever appear).
